I love my bestie, Denise van Outen, to absolute bits. Since I came out, I’ve been so glad to have her as an ally but she’s ALWAYS getting me in trouble when we film Celebrity Gogglebox. Her filthy sense of humour rubs off on me and we regularly get told off for making X-rated jokes. Bosses have to spend ages editing our segments before they air so we’re lobbying for a late-night version of the show. I reckon we can make it happen too. I replaced Denise’s ex-fiancé Eddie Boxshall on the hit Channel 4 show. And earlier this week, she went public with her hot new man Jimmy Barba, six months after dumping Eddie. In my opinion, the way Eddie treated her was really unfair. Cycling-Olympic champion Van Vleuten to retire at the end of 2023 season
(Reuters) - Olympic champion Annemiek van Vleuten will retire from professional cycling after the 2023 season, the Dutchwoman announced on Wednesday. The 39-year-old, who races for Movistar, won Olympic gold in the time trial and silver in the road race at the Tokyo Games last year. "The main reason, as I explained, to retire in 2023 is to do so while on top of my game, to round out that improvement process we and the team took up in 2021, and look for new challenges in life," Van Vleuten said in a statement. Van Vleuten's win in Tokyo completed a remarkable turnaround after she had suffered three fractured vertebrae and a concussion following a horrifying high-speed crash during the road race at the 2016 Rio Games. She also won the world time trial title in 2017 and 2018 and the road race in 2019. ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Vol. 2 review: Sadie Sink steals the show in anti-climactic flourish
Max’s escape from Vecna’s lair that sent Kate Bush to the top of the music charts. The shocking revelation that Henry Creel, Vecna and One are the same person. The Joyce-Hopper reunion we have been forever waiting for. Eleven getting back her powers. Volume one of season four gave us so much to take in — and cherish — that expectations for the two-episodic finale hardly seem fair, given that so many plot points need epic conclusions. Do the Duffer brothers deliver this time around? Well, yes and no. Yes, as so much of what made Vol. 1 work is present in spades: the gang’s all split up across three different story arcs and locations, but still manage to find a cosmic connection to work together; the coming-of-age themes still resonate during several memorable — and surprisingly emotional — scenes where characters have to usurp their personal demons and rise to the occasion; the long-impending Eleven vs. Vecna face-off does mostly deliver; and several of the show’s stars such as … [Read more...] about ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Vol. 2 review: Sadie Sink steals the show in anti-climactic flourish
What does beauty mean to you?
Malaysians share their thoughts on what beauty is to them. Jeremy Wong, 27, accountant Of course, there is the physical aspect of beauty but it’s more than that. It’s also your personality and character, how you carry yourself and how you treat people. All that is important too. Rina Mohd Jalil, 32, beauty consultant Speaking as someone in the industry, beauty is skin deep in the sense that you’ve to take care of your skin in order to be beautiful. Physical beauty can be achieved with proper diet, exercise, clothing, even surgery – it’s all about outer appearances. But it’s also the overall package and what’s inside is also important. Aspire to be your best – whether it’s physical appearances or improving yourself by learning new things. Photo: Pixabay Jonathan Pillai, 40, lawyer There is inner as well as outer beauty. Both are important and there needs to be balance. But some people swing to either extreme – they are obsessed with outer beauty but neglect … [Read more...] about What does beauty mean to you?
