Midterm Heat: 6 Democrats Fail to Support Joe Biden for Reelection
At least six Democrats have opted to play it safe and not voice support for a President Joe Biden 2024 reelection bid heading into the midterm elections. While voters have soured on Biden, with 64 percent of Democrats not supporting Biden’s 2024 reelection hopes, midterm candidates are following their electorate’s lead for fear that supporting the Democrat party’s leader will hurt them in their elections. According to a July 27 CNN poll, 75 percent of Democrat voters want Biden replaced atop the 2024 presidential ticket, up from 51 percent in February. Biden’s hopes of retaining reelection support came to a head on Tuesday when Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) declined to voice support for Biden in the primary debate for New York’s 12th congressional district. Nadler and Maloney are in a highly contested primary battle after state redistricting place them in the same district after serving in Congress for decades. “Too early to say,” Judiciary Committee … [Read more...] about Midterm Heat: 6 Democrats Fail to Support Joe Biden for Reelection

Trump: Joe Biden ‘Destroyed’ Michigan Industries with Globalist Record
President Trump blasted Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden’s globalist record that has shipped millions of American jobs to Mexico and China over the last three decades. During a rally in Waterford Township, Michigan, Trump detailed Biden’s record on the issue of trade that has led to soaring U.S. trade deficits and, as a result, the gof working and middle class American communities since the mid-1990s. “Biden was a cheerleader for NAFTA, sending your auto jobs all over the place, but in particular to Mexico,” Trump said. “Mexico is a big auto monster right now.” “[Biden] voted for China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), one of the worst things that ever happened to our country — the best thing that ever happened to China,” Trump continued. “[China was] flatlined and then they joined and went like a rocketship. Joe Biden Spox: Some Photos of VP Smelling Women’s Hair ‘Forgeries’
Bill Russo, a spokesperson for former Vice President Joe Biden, responded combatively to the blowback over various photos of the possible 2020 contender interacting awkwardly with women, calling some of the images “smears and forgeries” that have “existed in the dark recesses of the Internet for a while.” “The Vice President has issued a statement affirming that in all the many years in public life that he has shaken a hand, given or received a hug, or laid his hand on a shoulder to express concern, support; or reassurance, he never intended to cause discomfort,” Russo said in a statement. “He has said that he believes that women who have experience any such discomfort, regardless of intention, should speak and be heard, and that he will be among those who listen.” “But the important conversation about these issues are not advanced, nor are any criticisms of Vice President Biden validated, by the continued misrepresentation of the Carter and Coons moments, or a failure to be … [Read more...] about Joe Biden Spox: Some Photos of VP Smelling Women’s Hair ‘Forgeries’

Joe Biden and Xi Jinping Could Hold First In-Person Meeting this November: Report
Chinese officials told the Wall Street Journal that they are making plans for president Xi Jinping to visit southeast Asia and meet his American counterpart Joe Biden in November. If Xi Jinping attends the G20 leadership summit, which will be held in Indonesia’s Bali, it would mark the first time in the last two years that the Chinese president will be on an international trip. Xi did not travel outside China due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is also the first time both leaders will be meeting in-person after Biden’s inauguration. The preparations for the visit indicates that Xi is confident that he will smoothly transition into his third term as Chinese president and Communist Party chief at the twice-a-decade congress set to take place later this year.
