Alongside telling her not to take on a second job, her parents have also suggested that she move back home and give them control of her banking information. She said: "They say I'm being lazy . How student debt cancelation would change our lives: 10 Americans
From skipping meals, losing sleep and being forced to go without required medical treatment: the weight of student debt plays a heavy toll on the everyday lives of many Americans. Those struggling with a crippling debt are eagerly awaiting a decision on whether the pause on student loan repayments will be extended once again at the end of August. Without an extension, they'll be forced to cope with making repayments amid a cost-of-living crisis and surging inflation . But a bigger question is whether President Joe Biden will forgive some of the $1.7 trillion in student loan debt collectively owed by about 45 million Americans. The president is considering forgiving $10,000 in federal student loan debt for most borrowers, according to a recent Bloomberg report. He is also weighing another extension on the payment pause—moves that aim to appeal to young voters ahead of the November midterm elections. But those plans fall short of what some Democrats and advocates have … [Read more...] about How student debt cancelation would change our lives: 10 Americans
Integrated PU colleges in Karnataka: Boon or bane?

In the last few years, with PU colleges that offer integrated coaching classes mushrooming across the city, students spend close to 12 hours in colleges before going home. Many such colleges also offer boarding facilities and hence, for the better part of two years, students are engrossed in academics with little space for recreation. While there are many such centres up and running, government directives on them are far from clear. Additional training What are integrated PU colleges? While regular PU colleges offer the usual science, commerce and arts combinations, which are prescribed by the Department of Pre University Education (DPUE), integrated colleges offer additional training to prepare for competitive examinations like IIT – JEE, NEET, CET, CLAT, CPT and lately even UPSC. (sic)” The user added: “To clarify, no hate for the company or their products. Greg Gutfeld Promises a ‘Real Insurrection’ if Student Loans Are Cut
With President Joe Biden’s anticipated executive order to forgive some student loans again in the news , on Thursday a displeased Greg Gutfeld promised a “real insurrection” if the president follows through with his campaign pledge . Providing qualified borrowers with $10,000 of debt relief would be a “slap in the face” to those who have already paid off their loans, Gutfeld began, after The Five co-host Geraldo Rivera called Biden’s promise a “bribe” to young voters. “You are getting American taxpayers to pay for a gift that benefits Democrats who don’t need it,” Gutfeld claimed, framing the issue as beneficial to those who are already well off. “This isn’t like welfare or unemployment or food stamps. It’s a gift that you or I pay that’s given to upper class white art history majors who can then spend that money they would’ve spent on the loan on holidays in the Hamptons.” It has previously been reported that the White House is looking to exclude from loan … [Read more...] about Greg Gutfeld Promises a ‘Real Insurrection’ if Student Loans Are Cut
