Bognet: Democrat Matt Cartwright is a ‘Classic Out of Touch Faker’
Trump-endorsed Republican nominee for Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District Jim Bognet told SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday this past weekend that his opponent, Democrat Rep. Matt Cartwright (PA), is a “classic out-of-touch faker” for selling himself out to leadership. Breitbart News host Matthew Boyle mentioned that Cartwright has voted with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) 99 percent of the time and President Joe Biden 100 percent of the time. In response, Bognet called the Democrat representative a “classic out-of-touch faker” with the people in Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District. The Republican nominee explained that it all started when “Cartwright got elected pretending to be pro-life in 2012” by telling people he was a good Catholic and against abortion. “He has sold out to Biden and Pelosi and the left-wing money. Here’s how it works, Matt: Pelosi and Biden give him $5 million of left-wing money from pro-abortion-on-demand people across the … [Read more...] about Bognet: Democrat Matt Cartwright is a ‘Classic Out of Touch Faker’
Stanford Medicine put out a statement about Roe v. Wade. People weren’t happy.
Students and faculty at Stanford are criticizing the university's medical school for a letter released in response to the United States Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade , a move that will result in restrictions on the procedure in many states across the country. Perhaps in response to the criticism, Stanford Medicine administrators later sent out an apparent quasi-apology statement Sunday night, saying they wished to add "additional perspective" to their earlier comments. The saga began hours after Friday's ruling, when Dr. Lloyd Minor — the dean of the university's school of medicine — sent a letter to the Stanford community that, according to critics, paid undue attention to the feelings of anti-abortion advocates and seemed to imply that the university's medical center would continue performing the procedure only because it's required under California law. "First, we want to acknowledge that this is a controversial issue," the letter said. "We know that … [Read more...] about Stanford Medicine put out a statement about Roe v. Wade. Explained | U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s resolution about the alleged mistreatment of minorities in India
The story so far: U.S. Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives on Tuesday condemning alleged violations of human rights and religious freedom in India, and asking the U.S. Secretary of State to designate India as a “country of particular concern.” The resolution has been co-sponsored by Congresspersons Rashida Tlaib, Juan Vargas, and Jim McGovern. The resolution is based on the 2022 report by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) which said that the Indian government “escalated its promotion and enforcement of policies — including those promoting a Hindu-nationalist agenda — that negatively affect Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Dalits, and other religious minorities”. The report recommended, for the third year in a row, that India should be classified as a “ country of particular concern ” (CPC). Nasa Mars mission: UK scientists to choose pieces of red planet’s surface to bring back to Earth
Scientists are to select the pieces of Mars that will one day be brought back to Earth. Researchers hope that studying the samples of rock and soil from its surface could help them look for life on the red planet. Nasa 's Mars misssion is scheduled to launch on Thursday, carrying a rover that will explore the surface. It is just one of three crafts to set off in the "Summer of Mars", as missions from the US, China and the UAE all take advantage of the helpful alignment of the planets to set out to study our neighbour. Scientists at Imperial College London and the Natural History Museum will help the Nasa Perseverance rover select the Martian samples to be brought back to Earth, as part of its mission to find ancient microbial life Jezero crater, the 28-mile (45km) wide destination of Perseverance, contains sediments of an ancient river delta, a location where evidence of past life could be preserved if it ever existed on the planet.
