Laura Dern is dismissing rumours that she is dating actor Bradley Cooper. The actress says that they are just good friends and nothing more.Dern talked about her relationship with "The Hangover" star during the L.A. Love Alex's Lemonade culinary event in Los Angeles on Saturday, Sept. 14. The 52-year-old "Big Little Lies" star said that she and Cooper share an "amazing "platonic relationship and even called the actor "family."She likewise said that she can't blame people for suspecting that they are dating. Star Trek Actor Anton Yelchin’s Parents Sue Fiat Chrysler For Wrongful Death
Anton Yelchin, his parents, Victor and Irina Yelchin, have sued Fiat Chrysler, the makers of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV that crushed him to death. In the complaint filed by attorney Gary Dordick of Beverly Hills , there is no specific amount of damages requested. In April, Fiat Chrysler recalled the Jeep Grand Cherokee model owned by Yelchin and various others due to issues having to do with whether the non-standard gear shift was in park. Security Council issued a statement welcoming the reinstatement of President Michel Kafando and the transitional authorities of Burkina Faso following the recent coup. In addition to commending the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU) for their efforts to end the crisis and restore order in the country, the Security Council urged all political actors in Burkina Faso to refrain from violence and resume the transition process without delay. On September 26th, U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice congratulated the people of Burkina Faso for their success in defending Burkinabe democracy and reinstating the transitional government. A New York appeals court has refused to disqualify a law firm that sued Oppenheimer & Co. for alleged sexual harassment by its general counsel, even though the law firm was “walking a fine ethical line” in the case.The court said the law firm of Storch, Amini & Munves should have been alert to the possibility of a conflict of interest when two Oppenheimer employees sought advice—a paralegal who ultimately sued for harassment and a lawyer in the general counsel’s office in whom the paralegal confided, the New York Law Journal reports.The paralegal, Irina Alter, filed suit against the general counsel after she was fired. A former model who says she was horrified to learn her photo was used as a “masturbatory prop” in the comedy Couples Retreat has sued the movie makers for $10 million.The suit by Irina Krupnik says she didn’t learn of the “lascivious use of her photo” until after the film was released, the New York Post reports.
