The family of two British women and a baby girl who died in a car crash in Iceland say the accident has come as a "horrifying shock". THE devastated brother of the Iceland bridge crash victims confirmed the heartbreaking loss of three members of his family, who were on a dream holiday to the Scandinavian nation. Sarvesh Laturia's two brothers and their families were involved in the tragic accident that saw their Toyota Land Cruiser smash through railings at Núpsvötn bridge on Thursday. The vehicle plunged 30ft from the bridge killing two women and a young child. The Sun can reveal that the two female victims were the wives of Mr Laturia's two brothers. The accident happened at around 9.30am on Thursday when the Toyota Land Cruiser crashed through a railing on a one-lane bridge in the south of the country before falling around eight metres onto a river bank. Police said one child was among the dead and two among the injured. Chief Superintendent of south Iceland Police Sveinn Kristjan Runarsso said the four injured have been taken to hospital with serious injuries, but added that “we haven’t been able to talk to them about what happened”.
