Trump-endorsed Republican candidate Madison Gesiotto Gilbert told Breitbart News that she’s “ready to fight” in Congress for the families in Ohio and the state’s freshly minted Thirteenth Congressional District. Gesiotto Gilbert, a small business owner and attorney — who was a national surrogate for the Trump campaign in 2016 and 2020 — told Breitbart News, “I’m ready to fight for the people I care about, I’m ready to fight for the community that I care about that I love where I grew up.” She is running in Ohio’s newly minted Thirteenth Congressional District after the redistricting process took a seat away from the Buckeye State. The former Trump national surrogate noted that the district now includes all of Summit County for the first time in over 50 years, saying that “the Akron area has been made whole.” When the district was created, it absorbed parts of all the congressional seats in the surrounding area, including the ones represented by Democrat Reps. AOC lists seven ways Democrats can fight back against Roe being overturned
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week, Democrats have been looking for a way to fight back against a decision that has been considered a major success for conservative Republicans . President Joe Biden called for voters to "make their voices heard" in the next elections, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York shared a list of seven actions that she thinks Democrats can take to "fix this and act." Here's a breakdown of these seven actions and what each entails. 1. The doctrine was established in the case of Marbury v. Cyberattack forces Iran steel company to halt production
One of Iran’s major steel companies said on June 27 it was forced to halt production after being hit by a cyberattack, apparently marking one of the biggest such assaults on the country’s strategic industrial sector in recent memory. The state-owned Khuzestan Steel Company said experts had determined the plant had to stop work until further notice “due to technical problems” following “cyberattacks.” The company’s website was down on Monday. A local news channel, Jamaran, reported that the attack failed because the factory happened to be … [Read more...] about Cyberattack forces Iran steel company to halt production

Lai Yee Chan, a home attendant who worked 24-hour shifts in New York City providing health-related personal care, said she received a $200 check in late 2014 for roughly 6,000 overtime hours. Chan said she viewed the issue as a case of wage theft and rallied other home attendants and filed a class-action lawsuit in 2015 against her employer. Now, years later, workers and advocates are speaking out and protesting in Chinatown in response to what they say is an “insulting” settlement deal. Chan, who works for the Chinese-American Planning Council, saw her organizing set off years of legal battles and grassroots organizing. It culminated in a $30 million settlement in March between 1199 Service Employees International Union , the health care union representing more than 100,000 home attendants in the city, and 42 home care agencies. Divided evenly among all the workers, the settlement gives $250 — only $50 more than Chan originally received — to each person, or less than … [Read more...] about Home health providers protest 24-hour shifts after ‘insulting’ settlement reached
