Here’s everything we know about the American explorer who trekked 1,492 kilometress in 53 days in some of the most extreme conditions on Earth. Who is Colin O’Brady? O’Brady is a 33-year-old American from Olympia, Washington. He is a Pro Endurance Athlete and went to the prestigious Yale University. O’Brady is mountaineer and former triathlete. In 2008 he suffered third-degree burns on nearly 25 per cent of his body after he participated in local fire jump-roping while backpacking in Koh Tao, Thailand. He was told he would never walk normally again, but won his first sprint-distance race in 2009. He is married to Jenna Besaw after proposing to her on the summit of Cayambe, Ecuador's third tallest mountain, in October 2014.
