By Yashar Ali 190 Former FBI Director James Comey’s book, which is set to be released Tuesday, has sold close to 200,000 copies, a publishing industry source familiar with the sales figures told HuffPost. That figure includes both digital and hardcover pre-sales for A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, according to the source.  The book has an initial print run of 850,000 copies, CNN reported Friday.  This is a developing story. James Comey, whose upcoming book is already No. 10 on the Amazon list, will kick off this fall's St. Louis Speaker Series. The former FBI director was fired by President Donald Trump last May. Comey's already controversial book, "A Higher Loyalty," hasn't yet gone on sale: It's due out April 17. Apparently some of his book tour events are being resold for up to $850 (they originally cost $95), says thehill.com.Which isn't to say that tickets to the St. Louis Speakers Series are worth gambling on as doubling in price,  but the lineup looks pretty good. Tickets for the series, which takes place at Powell Hall, start at $315 for new subscribers. The series is presented by Maryville University. The White House has done little to prepare for the upcoming release of former FBI Director James Comey's memoir, Politico reports. President Donald Trump is set to visit South America and then with the Japanese Prime Minister at Mar-a-Lago in the next two weeks, which senior White House aides hope these trips will provide a distraction and show that Trump is unconcerned about the book. Comey's book, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth Lies and Leadership" has already risen close to the top of Amazon'a bestseller list about a week ahead of release, "The White House should recognize this will be a No. 1 nationwide bestseller. They cannot talk it off the bestseller list," said Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary for George W. Bush, to Politico. "Nothing they do will increase sales for it, they'll already be sky high.
