Huỳnh Phong Sơn, a 12-year-old student from HCM City’s Hóc Môn District, says his parents want him to spend time on physical activities this summer. But that’s not all. He’s taking English and singing classes as well. “I play football with my neighbours every afternoon, and I swim with my cousins and friends on the weekends,” Sơn says. Sài Gòn Giải Phóng (Liberated Sài Gòn) Newspaper recently conducted a quick survey of 50 elementary school students in HCM City, asking the question “which part of the school is most impressive to you (either negative or positive)?” Two-thirds of the students chose the toilets. Meanwhile, toilets have seen fewer upgrades and lower levels of investments, the paper reported.
