Police in Rajasthan’s Ajmer have arrested three people, including a cleric, for delivering a hate speech in which they allegedly called for beheading to avenge the insult to Prophet Mohammad, officials said. Police are suspecting that the hate speech delivered from the main entry gate of the Ajmer dargah on June 17 could have played a role in provoking the two people who murdered a tailor in Udaipur on Tuesday as the duo raised the same slogan that was chanted during the speech, sources in the police department said. Dargah police station SHO Dhanveer Singh identified the three arrested men as Fakar Jamali, a cleric, Riyaz and Tazim. They were held on Wednesday night, he said. Ajmer Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma said the main accused Gohar Chisti is absconding and being searched. ”They (the arrested) were present with Gohar Chisti during the hate speech which was delivered from the Nizam gate of the Ajmer dargah,” SHO Singh said. “I am Jane Doe #9 in the R.Kelly trial—his sentence means I didn’t suffer in vain”
I am Jane Doe #9. I am forever known in court documents as Jane Doe #9, and no one can take that away from me. It validates me and my story. But I didn't sleep much the night before June 29, the day of R. Kelly's sentencing for racketeering and sex trafficking crimes. It had taken all day to get from Miami, where I live, to New York the day before, and the following morning, I was dreading getting up. I was anxious and nervous because I didn't know what to expect; when I met with federal agents downstairs at the hotel, it started to feel really real for me. I arrived at the federal court in Brooklyn just before 10.30am on June 29 and was actually dropped off around the back because there were so many paparazzi, reporters and his supporters outside. Myself and the other survivors were nervous, because you don't know what to expect; he had filed motions to get an acquittal or a new trial, but U.S. District Judge Ann M. Donnelly quickly struck those down. I believe I was the third … [Read more...] about “I am Jane Doe #9 in the R.Kelly trial—his sentence means I didn’t suffer in vain”

Pastor says wives must obey husbands, make pancakes if they demand
A California pastor has called upon women to make their husbands pancakes on demand. Pastor Jared Pozarnsky, of Hold Fast Baptist Church in Fresno, made the bizarre statement during a sermon about the content of the Acts of the Apostles, one of the books of the New Testament. In a video , uploaded on June 24, Pastor Pozarnsky then brought up a passage from the New Testament's Ephesians that outlines the Biblical perspective on relationships between family members. Passages in Ephesians say that wives should "submit" to their husbands as he is "the head of the wife." Husbands, however, are simply told to "love" their wives. He added: "It says the wives to be subjected to their husbands in everything. Everything. So, you know, that's not popular today but there's a lot of things that are left up to the husband. The pastor later added: "If I came home and my wife had a whole meal on the table and I said, I want pancakes. And she's like 'oh man, but I've already made … [Read more...] about Pastor says wives must obey husbands, make pancakes if they demand
