By the end of official time, the Buffaloes were tied with the title favourites, who played on their home ground, 5-5. The two then played extra time, scoring one goal each. The deadlock meant the match would be decided with penalties. The Buffaloes managed to net three goals while the Wings could only score twice. In the third-place playoff, Cantho Catfish beat Saigon Heat 3-1 for the bronze medal. The Wings’ Phùng Trọng Luân was voted the best player of the league. Hanoi officials pay tribute to Lenin on his birthday. The delegation was led by Politburo member Hoang Trung Hai, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee. Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc also joined the delegation. This is an annual activity of Hanoi officials to commemorate Lenin, one of the most eminent political figures and revolutionary thinkers of the 20th century. Phung Hung street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter has been revived with beautiful mural paintings recalling Hanoi in the past. Opened to the public in early February, it is now a favorite photo location and cultural space for city dwellers and visitors. After the launch of Vietnam’s first QR code store in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi is also planning to pilot similar stores in 2018, aiming to boost the development of e-commerce in the capital.
