A young Croat has broken the Guinness World Record for 24 hour car pushing. 27 year-old Tomislav Lubenjak from Zagreb broke the record by pushing a 730 kg Smart with a driver inside for 106.9 kilometres. His challenge began on Saturday when the official stopwatch in the accompanying car was started, in which each of Tomislav's footstep was tracked by recorders. The whole event was provided by the traffic police regulating Vukovar Street in Zagreb. The car has the exact weight assigned by Guinness rules and the drivers had to change every four hours. Tomislav took three minute breaks every hour and refuelled with high-calorie pills and sugar to give him the energy to complete the gruelling task. (Getty Images) HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A North Carolina man has set a Guinness World Record after creating huge soap bubbles around 13 people in 30 seconds. The Raleigh News & Observer reports that Steven Langley was officially designated the record holder on Saturday. He had actually achieved the feat in November in Huntersville. Langley used a ring that’s 3 feet in diameter to create the bubbles. The ring surrounded each person. He pulled the ring up and around them as the ring created a soap bubble. Some of Langley’s friends volunteered to participate. Others worked at a businesses nearby. The record marked Langley’s seventh Guinness World Record. (UPI) — A Chevy truck pulled a 4,690 square foot Kuwaiti flag a distance of more than 328 feet to break a Guinness World Record. The attempt in Kuwait City, which marked the 70th anniversary of Chevrolet’s partnership with Yusuf A. Alghanim & Sons Automotive, the brand’s exclusive dealer in Kuwait, broke the Guinness World Record for largest banner flown by a vehicle.The previous record, set by Chevrolet’s rival, Ford, involved a truck pulling a 4,123.55-square foot banner.
