So what’s next for the Salem Democrat: Will he be forced to fend off a primary challenge? Can he mend ties with Pelosi and be a player in the next Congress? Will he look at a run for president? One thing he is not doing is running for the Senate in 2020, he said. In a Friday interview with the Globe, Moulton smothered speculation he was mounting a Democratic primary challenge to Senator Edward J. Markey. Advertisement “I have no plans to run for Senate,” Moulton said. When pressed if this meant the idea was off the table, he offered, “you never say never.” Get Metro Headlines in your inbox: The 10 top local news stories … [Read more...] about Seth Moulton says he does not plan to run for Senate in Massachusetts in next election

Bruce Springsteen’s anthemic “The Rising” soars in the background. And it may never be aired on television. The political action committee that created it, Serve America, led by Representative Seth Moulton, Democrat of Massachusetts and a Marine veteran, is structured in a way that caps donations to individual candidates at $5,000 per election. Since it has already given the maximum allowable contribution to the campaigns and coordinated the ad with each of … [Read more...] about Great Ad. Compelling Characters. The impressive bread/amuse bouche board at The Packhorse Inn. Picture: LIZ HEATH Archant Mark Heath and his wife Liz visited gastro pub The Packhorse Inn at Moulton for a Friday night dinner... Liz's starter at The Packhorse Inn - roasted butternut squash soup. A great dish for an autumnal evening. Picture: LIZ HEATHFoodWhen we walked through the doors of The Packhorse on an autumnal Friday night, the place was buzzing. At first, I feared that the combination of Friday night drinkers and sit-down diners would not make for a happy combination, but those concerns were quickly assuaged when we were shown to our table, well away from the hubub of the bar. That is something the Packhorse do very well - the bustling bar area is well separated from the dining tables, which are large and well spaced out. Very comfy and welcoming. We both ordered a pint of Peroni - an incredibly reasonable £7.50 for both – and settled in to mull over the menu. With us, for the first time on our … [Read more...] about Review: The Packhorse Inn at Moulton
Rep. Nancy Pelosi isn’t worried about the dissent in her ranks, and not in the least from the Seth Moultons of the world. Or so she says. Moulton, a 39-year-old Massachusetts congressman, has been one of the most outspoken Democrats calling for Pelosi to be replaced as the party’s leader in the House. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone‘s Tim Dickinson, the 78-year-old San Francisco congresswoman was asked what she makes of those calls. “Inconsequential,” she said, according to an edited transcript published Sunday. “They don’t have a following in our caucus. None.” Asked if it was “frustrated ambition” on the part of Moulton and Rep. Tim Ryan — the 44-year-old Ohio Democrat who challenged Pelosi for the position of Democratic caucus leader following the 2016 election and lost in a 134-63 vote — Pelosi suggested there were other Democrats who “are more in line” to eventually … [Read more...] about Nancy Pelosi says Seth Moulton’s calls for new leadership are ‘inconsequential’
