The NHL on Tuesday fined Blues left wing David Perron $5,000 for his cross-check on Avalanche center Nazem Kadri during Colorado’s 6-3 win in Game 4 on Monday. The incident occurred at the 5:30 mark in the second period. Perron came in and cross-checked Kadri down onto the ice. Then, as Kadri was trying to get up, Perron then jumped on top of him and the two slid into the boards by the St. Louis bench. Kadri legit attacked. Well-wishers braved the rain to line the route of the funeral cortege, breaking into spontaneous applause for the father of two who lost his brave seven-year battle with a rare form of stomach cancer earlier this month. Despite his illness the 39 year old set up the Steve Prescott Foundation and raised almost £500,000. His son Taylor, 12, told the congregation: “I’d like to say how proud I am of what my dad has achieved. “I have got lots of great memories of the times we have had together. Wordle is a word game that tests veteran players and newcomers who all try to solve the puzzle within six tries; fortunately, Newsweek is on hand to help those who might want some help to work it out. Wordle's aim is very basic, with the puzzle demanding participants figure out a five-letter word in six guesses or fewer. Calling off the IPL was the right — if delayed — decision, even if the Board of Control for Cricket in India had its hand forced by the rapid developments once the bio-bubble had been breached, exposing players in what, technically, was the safest real estate in the country.
