Everything seems to be falling apart. The Russians are occupying a neighboring state. A foreign crisis is causing spikes in the price of oil. Inflation is the worst it’s been in some 40 years. A Democratic president is facing the lowest approval ratings of his term and has openly admitted that he knows the public is in a foul mood. A virus is on the loose and making a lot of people sick. Even the music charts are a mess, a horrid stew of disco and wimp-rock hits. Wait. Disco? was at 30 percent approval , and, yes, an influenza epidemic broke out. Whether music is better now than at the end of the 1970s, I will leave to you. (I was not a fan of the charts in those days, but I will still take the Bee Gees over Harry Styles.) Former President Donald Trump took a victory lap over the weekend and celebrated the Supreme Court 's striking down Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that provided constitutional protections for abortions. The three justices appointed to the high court in Trump's single term—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett —were instrumental in the decision to "upend the scales of justice and eliminate a fundamental right for women in this country," President Joe Biden noted in a statement after the decision came down on Friday. Dear Coleen I’m a woman aged 29 and recently I had to travel abroad for work for a few days, so I left my boyfriend with my house keys so he could pop in and feed the cat – we picked her together when we started dating. When I was away, I got a message from a plumber who needed access to the house to fix something, but I couldn’t get hold of my boyfriend, so asked my mum to go round. When she got there, she found my boyfriend in my bed with a woman. It was awful, she screamed at him and told him to leave. It turns out I know the girl, but not very well. I feel completely humiliated and terrible for my mum. I haven’t really processed things properly, but I’ve ended the relationship with my boyfriend.
