Trump met with more than two dozen people affected by the shooting, and did not publicly share his message for the grieving families and local leaders. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, whom Trump put in charge of the school safety commission, announced a $1 million grant to the Santa Fe school district to help with post-shooting recovery efforts. MORE than 3,000 people gathered to give George HW Bush a hero's send-off this afternoon with presidents Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton paying their respects from the front-row of the Washington National Cathedral. In sombre scenes, Bush's coffin arrived draped in the US flag with the late president having spent the past week lying in state in Washington DC. George W Bush, who is expected to give a eulogy today, greeted the former presidents before taking his seat alongside the rest of the Bush family. Trump, who is not set to speak at the service, ordered the federal government closed on Wednesday for a national day of mourning. Donald Trump and Barack Obama have come face to face for the first time since Trump's inauguration. Political feuds have already been agreed to be set aside, with George P. HAVE-A-GO heroes marched a suspected burglar to cops after finding him lurking on a family’s roof. The man was allegedly spotted peering through the windows of the home in Great Coates, Lincolnshire. He tried to make a run for it after crowds of residents gathered around the house, but the homeowner’s son vaulted a six-foot fence and put him in a headlock. Others then took him to cops where he was placed in custody. Howard Clough told the Grimsby Telegraph: “My wife woke me up to tell me there was someone on our kitchen roof who had been trying the windows. “We've got some young kids so it was very worrying.” Residents said that at first the man, in his twenties, refused to leave the roof of the home – despite police officers arriving on the scene.
