The outcry over the FBI raid on Donald Trump 's Mar-a-Lago residence has led supporters of the former president to scrutinize the people behind the investigation. Calls have been made to defund the FBI, while Trump himself labeled the incident as "prosecutorial misconduct," and even made unfounded claims the Feds "planted" evidence in his mansion. Left-leaning commentators have hit back at some of these excoriations, but in doing so may have also helped spread inaccuracies. INDIAN RAILWAYS UPDATE: Indian Railways has decided to cancel 149 trains, change sourced station in 16 and short terminate 15 on Thursday, August 11 due to maintenance and operational reasons. According to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) website, 127 trains will remain cancelled on Friday, August 12. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation examination result 2022 today, August 10. Candidates who want to check their scores and download the results can do so from the official website -– icai.nic.in, caresults.icai.org, and icaiexam.icai.org. They will need their application number and password to be able to access the results. As many as 25.28 per cent of the candidates who took the exam passed. A total of 51111 male and 42618 female candidates took the exam this time. The pass percentage among male candidates is 25.52 per cent and among female, it is 24.99 per cent. A total of 10650 female and 13043 male students have cleared the exam. In December 2021, as many as 30.28 per cent of students cleared the exam while in July last year, 26.62 per cent of students passed. The petrol and diesel prices on Thursday, August 11, remained unchanged by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). The prices for the two major auto fuels have continued to be steady for over two months now, with Maharashtra being the only exception. The state government in Maharashtra had announced to reduce the Value Added Tax (VAT) on the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs. 5 and Rs. 3 per litre, respectively, on July 15. The VAT cut is likely to put a burden of Rs. 6,000 crore on the Maharashtra government on an annual basis. Earlier, on May 21, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a reduction in the excise duty on petrol by Rs. 8 per litre and on diesel by Rs. 6 per litre. The fuel prices have remained stable since then. For the national capital on August 11, petrol and diesel prices remain the same at Rs. 96.72 per litre and Rs. 89.62 per litre, each.
