THE wife of England cricketer James Anderson claims a midwife asked for an autograph during her miscarriage. Daniella said the request during the loss of her son at 13 weeks was "deeply inappropriate". Lancashire and England ace, James, was at a Test match in India when he learned of the harrowing news. Daniella told the Daily Star how the cricketer, 36, was “absolutely devastated” by the loss. She added: “The midwife was asking for James’s autograph while I was in the middle of losing our baby. It was deeply inappropriate.” Daniella also thinks men struggle with miscarriage because “they don’t have the same hormones”. She added: “We talked a lot. He is a really sensitive soul and he was really upset.” Daniella suffered the miscarriage before their two daughters, Lola, nine, and Ruby, eight, were born. For hours the jury at Bristol Crown Court watched video from various angles of the minutes leading up to the drunken row, as well as graphic footage of the brawl. The 27-year-old all-rounder punched Ryan Hale, 27, to the ground and then knocked out Ryan Ali, 28, during the fracas in the early hours of September 25 last year in Bristol city centre. Stokes said he was acting in self-defence, or in the defence of others, when he punched the two best friends hours after England played the West Indies in a one-day international in the city. The jury at Bristol Crown Court took under three hours to acquit Stokes and co-accused Ali of affray following a seven day trial. At the start of the trial the Crown tried to amend the indictment and charge Stokes with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm but this was rejected by the judge.
