Tennessee State Sen. Joey Hensley (R-Hohenwald) is pushing a bill to allow firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) to carry guns while on the clock. Fox 17 reports that the legislation, Senate Bill 0422, would allow handguns to be carried by firefighters and EMTs who “complete a firearm training program.”Hensley introduced SB0422 on January 31, 2019. Residents packed out a meeting of the Patrick County board of supervisors Monday, at which local officials, lawyers and McNabb himself squabbled over the EMT’s fate as a health worker. By Christopher Mathias Alex McNabb, a white supremacist podcaster who works as an emergency medical technician in southern Virginia, is under investigation by the state’s Department of Health, a spokesperson for the department confirmed to HuffPost. McNabb, 35, is a frequent co-host of “The Daily Shoah,” a popular neo-Nazi podcast. On the show he regularly tells stories about being an EMT, often referring to patients by racist slurs and comparing black patients to animals. A driver has been accused of running down an EMT and a patient after getting in an argument in upper Manhattan, authorities say. Police say Kevin Green, 34, was taken into custody after the road-rage episode on West 151st Street near Amsterdam Avenue Thursday afternoon. It's not clear what spurred the argument, but the EMT was loading a patient with respiratory issues into an ambulance at the time. The patient's leg was broken, and the EMT was also hurt.
