City-based electric vehicle manufacturer AVERA has launched two new models 'Vincero' and 'Retrosa Litee' on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day here on Monday. Vincero could hit up to 120 kmph and had a range of 236 km, the makers claimed. The models were launched at the company's manufacturing unit in Chandana Economic Industrial Development Area (CEIDA), Nunna. “Vincero has been embedded with the world’s best design elements not limiting to facial technology as one of the key elements,” company founder and CEO Venkata Ramana said. “AVERA is the only manufacturer with a second electric scooter integrated with a smart lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) battery having advanced safety features to avoid fire accidents. Retrosa Litee is a more economical model for the Indian market in the premium electric segment,” Mr. Ramana said. Ford raised the base price of its F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck Aug. 9 following the passing of a bill by Senate Democrats that included a $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit. The base model of the 2023 F-150 Lightning pickup will now cost $47,000, up from it’s original price of $40,000, according to CNN. More expensive models, such as the XLT High/Extended Range and the Lariat Extended Range have increased in price by $8,500, while other F-150 Lightning designs vary between $6,000 to $7,000 in price increases, according to the Detroit Free Press. Navaratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) is exploring the feasibility of creating a business model for producing green hydrogen. This is in line with the Union government’s goal of creating a hydrogen economy in the country to support green energy security, NLCIL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Rakesh Kumar, said here on Monday. Mr. Kumar, who hoisted the Tricolour at the Bharathi Stadium to mark the Independence Day, said the NLCIL had registered impressive records in physical and financial fronts for the year 2021-22 and for the first quarter of 2022-23. The consolidated net profit of the company for the first quarter of 2022-23 was ₹568.83 crore, an increase of 59.07% over the previous year. During the first quarter, NLCIL power stations produced 6,963.03 Million Units, which is the highest ever since inception.
