Let’s say that you are very ill, so much so that your nourishment gets into your body via a painful puncture or means — a needle and solution, for example, or a feeding tube. You bear the pain because you tell yourself that you must, in order to eat, surely, but also just to move on. Let’s say, however, that the way food routinely gets into you is itself riven with pain. Or a couple of serious canker sores have encamped. Your advanced Parkinson’s complications make it near-impossible to swallow. Your mouth suffers an abscess, or lesions from shingles, or oral thrush. Or, let’s say that a surgeon had to remove some of the mouth because cancer was there (as in a portion of your tongue). “Three months into the pandemic,” says a friend, Marty Jones, “I had lost a lot of weight — 25 pounds — and I didn’t know why.” With … [Read more...] about Easy-to-swallow recipes for those for those with mouth pain

A resurfaced note a beekeeper left his children over nine years ago, has gone viral after his daughter found it in his beekeeping equipment and shared it on social media. In a post shared on Twitter last Monday, the woman, Amy Clukey, explained that her dad died of lung cancer about nine years ago, but before passing wrote a note that he hoped one of his children would later find. The note said: "I hope this note is found by one of my children who is curious about beekeeping. Beekeeping is actually pretty easy and you can learn everything online. " Bees make more products than just honey and as a hobby, it can be a source of extra income $$$. So don't be afraid, have courage. Good Luck. Love Dad." Petrol, Diesel Demand To Grow: India’s Oil Requirement To Rise 7.7% in 2022, Says OPEC
India’s demand for petroleum products like petrol and diesel will grow by 7.73 per cent in 2022, the fastest pace in the world, an OPEC report said. India’s demand for oil products is projected to rise from 4.77 million barrels per day (bpd) in 2021 to 5.14 million bpd in 2022, OPEC said in its monthly oil report. The growth in demand is the fastest in the world ahead of 1.23 per cent of China, 3.39 per cent of the US and 4.62 per cent of Europe. For 2023, the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) projected a growth of 4.67 per cent in India’s demand to 5.38 per cent. This, however, will be lower than 4.86 per cent growth in China. India is the world’s third largest oil importing and consuming nation behind the US and China. The demand for petroleum products in India is supported by the healthy economic growth of 7.1 per cent, continuing economic reopening amid ease of COVID restrictions and easing of trade-related bottlenecks supporting both mobility and … [Read more...] about Petrol, Diesel Demand To Grow: India’s Oil Requirement To Rise 7.7% in 2022, Says OPEC
Frank Ocean Disappears Again
One week ago, The New York Times broke what might have been one of the biggest pop-music stories of the summer. Frank Ocean, “the innovative and enigmatic R&B singer, is set to release his next album, Boys Don’t Cry , on Friday through an exclusive deal with Apple Music , according to a person with knowledge of the release plans,” wrote Ben Sisario and Joe Coscarelli. The story coincided with the arrival of an “endless” video showing Ocean performing carpentry work. But because the stream was posted without mention of an imminent album, it seemed likely that the Times ’ source, “who was not authorized to discuss the release plans and therefore spoke on condition of anonymity,” was someone high-up at Ocean’s label, or in Ocean’s creative camp, or at Apple. The unauthorized breaking of silence was a reminder that even for a talent as singular as Ocean—and even in an era when physical distribution and long-lead promotion are no longer essential steps in the … [Read more...] about Frank Ocean Disappears Again
