BRITISH passengers will continue to fly on Boeing 737 Max 8 planes despite safety fears after the Ethiopian Airlines crash killed 157 people. Concerns have been raised about the new model following the second devastating air disaster in less than five months. China and Indonesia have grounded the planes but some British and Irish passengers will continue to fly on the troubled Boeing under certain airlines. Norwegian Airlines has 18 of the planes in its fleet and mainly uses them to travel between Ireland and the US. They confirmed they are in "close dialogue" with the manufacturer but have "no plans" to take the planes out of service. TUI Group, who have 15 of the planes, say they will keep in "close contact" with the manufacturer. No other major British airlines - including BA and Virgin Atlantic - use the Boeing 737.
