Police searching their home also found a greetings card on their living room sideboard which featured Ku Klux Klan (KKK) figures and read “May all your Christmases be white”. Adam Thomas, 22, and his partner Claudia Patatas, 38, gave their child the middle name Adolf -which the prosecution has alleged was in honour of the infamous Nazi leader Hitler. On Wednesday, a court also heard how Patatas had allegedly sent a WhatsApp message reading “all Jews must be put to death”, while Thomas bemoaned the fact he had a “fat p**i” as a work colleague. Jurors were also shown another image, said to be of Thomas in a Klansmen’s robe and brandishing a machete in front of a Confederate flag. World crime A couple accused of membership in a banned neo-Nazi group named their baby after Adolf Hitler, a court has been told.Prosecutors say that Adam Thomas, 22, and Claudia Patatas, 38 were pictured holding a Swastika flag and performing a Nazi salute over their child, whose middle name is Adolf.The couple were arrested in January when police discovered the photo with Darren Fletcher, 28, who has previous convictions for dressing as a Klansman and hanging a golliwog from a noose on stage.Thomas and Patatas, from the English town of Banbury, face trial at Birmingham Crown Court alongside Daniel Bogunovic, from Leicester for being members of the banned group National Action.National Action was banned in December 2016 after the murder of British politician Jo Cox whose killer, Thomas Mair, a far-right radical, was jailed for life in November. Couple accused of joining banned far-right group National Action ‘named their newborn baby after Adolf Hitler’
A COUPLE accused of membership of a banned extreme far-right terrorist group named their baby after Adolf Hitler, a court heard today. Jurors heard Adam Thomas, 22, and his partner Claudia Patatas, 38, gave their child the middle name Adolf, which the prosecution alleged was in honour of the infamous Nazi leader. The Crown also claimed the couple were pictured at home with another man, a convicted racist and "vehement Nazi", who was holding a Swastika flag and performing a Hitler-style salute over their baby. Thomas and Patatas, both from Banbury, Oxfordshire, are on trial at Birmingham Crown Court accused of being members of the group National Action. Thomas also stands accused of a having a terrorist document, namely the Anarchist's Cookbook. Co-defendant Daniel Bogunovic, 27, from Leicester, is also in the dock facing the same membership charge.
