Trump-endorsed Republican candidate Madison Gesiotto Gilbert told Breitbart News that she’s “ready to fight” in Congress for the families in Ohio and the state’s freshly minted Thirteenth Congressional District. Gesiotto Gilbert, a small business owner and attorney — who was a national surrogate for the Trump campaign in 2016 and 2020 — told Breitbart News, “I’m ready to fight for the people I care about, I’m ready to fight for the community that I care about that I love where I grew up.” She is running in Ohio’s newly minted Thirteenth Congressional District after the redistricting process took a seat away from the Buckeye State. The former Trump national surrogate noted that the district now includes all of Summit County for the first time in over 50 years, saying that “the Akron area has been made whole.” When the district was created, it absorbed parts of all the congressional seats in the surrounding area, including the ones represented by Democrat Reps. Tim Ryan and … [Read more...] about Gesiotto Gilbert: ‘I’m Ready to Fight for the Community that I Care About’

GOP incumbent’s support collapses when voters hear anti-abortion views—poll
According to a new poll, voters in Pennsylvania said they would not vote for a sitting Republican congressman after they learned about his anti-abortion views. The survey was conducted by Public Policy Polling, which is affiliated with the Democratic Party , and it suggested that Republican Brian Fitzpatrick would lose his seat in Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional district to Democrat Ashley Ehasz once voters were made aware of his stance on abortion. The poll, which was conducted after the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday, June 24, said Fitzpatrick led Ehasz by seven percentage points (45 percent to 38 percent) when asked an initial question about who voters would back in November's midterms. However, once the survey respondents learned of Fitszpatrick's anti-abortion views, Ehasz gained a massive surge in support, moving to a 10-point lead over the Republican (47 percent to 37 percent). According to the results, once voters were told that … [Read more...] about GOP incumbent’s support collapses when voters hear anti-abortion views—poll

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week, Democrats have been looking for a way to fight back against a decision that has been considered a major success for conservative Republicans . President Joe Biden called for voters to "make their voices heard" in the next elections, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York shared a list of seven actions that she thinks Democrats can take to "fix this and act." Here's a breakdown of these seven actions and what each entails. 1. Restrain judicial review Judicial review allows the Supreme Court to declare a legislative or executive action to be in violation of the Constitution. The doctrine was established in the case of Marbury v. In their ruling in favor of Mississippi's ban on abortion … [Read more...] about AOC lists seven ways Democrats can fight back against Roe being overturned
Bognet: Democrat Matt Cartwright is a ‘Classic Out of Touch Faker’
Trump-endorsed Republican nominee for Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District Jim Bognet told SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday this past weekend that his opponent, Democrat Rep. Matt Cartwright (PA), is a “classic out-of-touch faker” for selling himself out to leadership. Breitbart News host Matthew Boyle mentioned that Cartwright has voted with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) 99 percent of the time and President Joe Biden 100 percent of the time. In response, Bognet called the Democrat representative a “classic out-of-touch faker” with the people in Pennsylvania’s Eighth Congressional District. The Republican nominee explained that it all started when “Cartwright got elected pretending to be pro-life in 2012” by telling people he was a good Catholic and against abortion. “He has sold out to Biden and Pelosi and the left-wing money. Here’s how it works, Matt: Pelosi and Biden give him $5 million of left-wing money from pro-abortion-on-demand people across the … [Read more...] about Bognet: Democrat Matt Cartwright is a ‘Classic Out of Touch Faker’
The 3 places Jan. 6 committee’s “recently obtained evidence” may come from
The House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol announced an unexpected hearing scheduled for Tuesday when lawmakers plan to unveil "recently obtained evidence." The investigation into the insurrection entered a new phase this month when lawmakers presented a series of public hearings about the attack, which stemmed from former President Donald Trump and his allies' alleged attempts to thwart the results of the 2020 presidential election. So far, the committee has unveiled several potentially damaging allegations that have already chipped away at some of Trump's popularity , according to polls. The announcement of a new hearing came as a surprise on Monday, as the committee initially planned to resume its hearings in July. Not much is known about the hearing—as the announcement only alluded to the new evidence and unspecified witness testimony, with no central theme being announced. However, lawmakers have been going through at … [Read more...] about The 3 places Jan. 6 committee’s “recently obtained evidence” may come from
Exclusive – Mike Pompeo on Culture War: ‘I Can See It, I Can Feel It, We Are Winning’
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told host Matthew Boyle on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Sunday that Republicans are “winning” the culture war and noted that “fearless” conservative candidates of “deep faith” and “deep courage” look to secure the G.O.P. majorities in Congress in the midterm elections. During the interview, Boyle emphasized the importance of winning the culture war. “Andrew Breitbart said #War, and we view it as cultural war, as a war for the heart and soul of what kind of country we’re going to be and when you have decisions like this one from the Supreme Court, the Dobbs decision, and then the Second Amendment decision, and there was a religious liberty decision earlier in the week, and there’s another religious liberty and immigration ones coming up,” Boyle said. “When you have this thing playing out these ways, and you know you’ve got Myra Flores winning her seat in Texas, you’ve got these exciting young candidates winning. It seems like the good guys … [Read more...] about Exclusive – Mike Pompeo on Culture War: ‘I Can See It, I Can Feel It, We Are Winning’
