Blackpink on Aug. 19 will pre-release its single “Pink Venom." [YG ENTERTAINMENT] Blackpink on Aug. 19 will pre-release its single “Pink Venom,” the girl group’s agency YG Entertainment said Monday. On Aug. 19 at 1 p.m., Blackpink will drop “Pink Venom” and the song’s music video via YouTube and music streaming platforms. The single will be part of Blackpink’s full-length album set to be released in September. “The combination of Blackpink’s symbol color and the word ‘venom’ creates a striking imagery,” said YG Entertainment. YG revealed on Aug. 1 that Blackpink’s pre-release songs would come out in August, the full album in September and a world tour in October. Ateez entered the Billboard 200 at No. 3 with its latest EP "The World Ep.1 : Movement." This is Ateez's first time making it in the chart's top 10, as well as its highest rank to date. As the boy band's eighth EP, which was released on July 29, "The World Ep.1 : Movement" sold 50,000 copies in the United States, according to Billboard's announcement on Sunday. The Billboard 200 takes into account physical CD sales as well as the number of online streams and downloads that are converted to count as CD sales. One-thousand-five-hundred on-demand streams are counted as one streaming equivalent album (SEA), and 10 track downloads are counted as one track equivalent album (TEA).
