U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has failed to coordinate or clear appearance dates with federal courts in six cities, the Dallas Morning News reports. Some people received documents with orders to appear in immigration court at midnight on Sept. 31—in a month that has 30 days. More than a dozen people showed up last Thursday at the Dallas immigration court with notices to appear, which are usually prepared by ICE. Court personnel told them to fill out a form and call a number to find out their actual court date, according to the article. The U.S. Department of Justice, ICE and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security—which oversees ICE—did not offer the newspaper an explanation about what had happened. Women's restroom did not have paper towels. Ready to eat food containers are not marked with prep date nor use by date. Refrigerating units are not equipped with thermometers. Observed multiple containers of food in walk in cooler, uncovered. Old food debris/residue throughout kitchen floor, walls, counter tops, cooking area, on floor inside walk in cooler, stuck on shelves in walk in cooler and cold hold units, and all equipment such as blender, mixer, pots, pans, etc. Observed clogged, nearly overflowing toilet in women's restroom. SOUTH Western Railway is bringing a summer of travel misery for commuters as staff go on a series of strikes with industrial action due to last until early September. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union are taking industrial action over a dispute regarding the future of guards on trains. Here's more information about when the next strike is due. When is the South Western Railway industrial action scheduled for? Members of the RMT union will walk out on the following dates: From midnight on Friday, August 31 until 11.59pm on Sunday, September 2.
