March 24 (Reuters) - Democratic U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will deliver a fiery first speech as an official presidential candidate in New York City on Sunday, calling U.S. President Donald Trump a "coward" at the doorstep of one of his most famous properties. The location in front of Trump International Hotel - which she plans to call a "shrine to greed, division and vanity," according to excerpts from her prepared remarks - is intended to show voters that Gillibrand will attack Trump directly, in contrast to some Democratic rivals who have hesitated to focus on the Republican president early in the 2020 campaign.RELATED: Kirsten Gillibrand through the years 31 PHOTOS Kirsten Gillibrand through the years See Gallery Kirsten Gillibrand through the years ALBANY, NEW YORK - JANUARY 23: U.S. Rep. President Trump is a stubborn grandpa. That's what former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said on Sunday during an interview with ABC's "This Week."Christie, a former Trump advisor, likened the President to a "72-year-old relative" who refuses to change his or her ways.“When people get older, they become more and more convinced of the fact that what they’re doing is the right thing and it becomes harder to convince them otherwise," Christie told ABC News. 36 PHOTOS Donald Trump and Chris Christie See Gallery Donald Trump and Chris Christie Republican presidential hopefuls Donald Trump (L) and Chris Christie shake hands at the Republican Presidential Debate, hosted by CNN, at The Venetian Las Vegas on December 15, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Viet Nam News NEW YORK — A portrait made by algorithm smashed new boundaries on Thursday, selling for US$432,500 and becoming the first piece of Artificial Intelligence art sold at a major auction house, Christie’s said. At first glance, Edmond de Belamy, the portrait of a gentleman dressed in black and framed in gold, could be any standard portrait from the 18th or 19th century. Up close, the image is more intriguing. The face is fuzzy and the picture seemingly unfinished. Instead of an artist’s signature, it bears the stamp of a mathematical formula on the bottom right. It’s the brainchild of French collective Obvious, whose aim is to use artificial intelligence to democratise art. To make the painting, artist Pierre Fautrel ran 15,000 classic portraits through a computer software. Once the software "understood the rules of portraiture," using a new algorithm developed by Google researcher Ian Goodfellow, it then generated a series of new images by … [Read more...] about Algorithm art fetches $432,500 at NY auction: Christie’s
