Charles started his two-day trip to Northumberland by visiting The Sill, a national landscape discovery centre, where he was told about the range of learning and research activities carried out at the venue. Adorable photographs taken to mark Prince Charles’ 70th birthday show the close bond he shares with grandson Louis. Doting grandfather Charles has a large smile on his face as he cradles Louis in the gardens of Clarence House. A shot featuring The Prince of Wales with his family also shows cheeky Louis squeezing his grandad’s face as they try to pose. The selection of images includes Charles at Highgrove feeding his prized Burford brown and Marans chickens. He collects their eggs every morning in his wellies and the chickens obediently follow him, ready for their breakfast.
