THE Westminster suspect has been revealed as a "shy" Celine Dion-loving British national whose dad and brother recently died, reports claim. The lone attacker has been named by locals as Sudan-born Salih Khater, 29, who most recently was living in a rundown flat above an internet cafe in Sparkhill, Birmingham. Police revealed today he has now been re-arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and continues to be quizzed over terror offences. Details have now begin to emerge about the suspect, who describes himself on Facebook as a shop manager who studied at the Sudan University of Science and Technology. Philip Bump, The Washington Post Published 12:53 pm PDT, Thursday, October 18, 2018 NEW YORK - News that residents at 200 Riverside Boulevard had voted to remove the the words "TRUMP PLACE" from their building on Manhattan's Upper West Side prompted Greg Schlotthauer, 51, to hop on his bike, don his anti-Trump button and head up to the scene to watch the action unfold. He arrived before the bucket truck that would carry out the task. In the cold, whipping wind, he and other spectators watched as the crews got to work. "Yay!" Schlotthauer hollered as they pulled one of the letters of Trump's last name off of the building. "Thank you!" Given the strength of the wind, it's unlikely the workers heard Schlotthauer's cheers. Coming into Las Vegas to attend Avvo’s sixth annual Lawyernomics conference, I was bombarded with concert billboards, including ones for the latest extended residencies. It used to be if you were doing a residency in Las Vegas, your career was circling the drain. Artists like Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Elton John and now Jennifer Lopez have been able to balance their Las Vegas residencies while remaining somewhat relevant in the music world. Still, none of them are as popular now as they were five to 10 years ago, so the general rule remains the same. Today’s hot pop stars (here’s looking at you, Katy Perry) can probably expect to relocate to Vegas in about five years or so when their careers start to cool off. An 18-year-old armed robbery suspect has been charged with felony murder after his suspected accomplice crashed the alleged getaway car and killed a nun.The charge against William Robbins “represents a novel approach that could test the state’s felony murder statute,” the New York Times reports. Manhattan prosecutors used the law to charge both Robbins and his alleged accomplice, 20-year-old Dyson Williams.Police say Robbins was driving the car last Tuesday when police halted the vehicle. Robbins complied with a police order to exit the car, but Dyson refused and sped off, according to the criminal complaint.
