Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo has reshuffled his cabinet by appointing Syafruddin, a top police officer, to replace Asman Abnur as the administrative and bureaucratic reform minister. Syafruddin confirmed his appointment to Antara here on Tuesday but acknowledged that he has yet to get informed on the figure who will take over his position as the deputy chief of Indonesia`s National Police after being sworn-in as the cabinet member. "I do not know who becomes my successor," he said. The swearing-in ceremony for Syafruddin is reported to be conducted on Wednesday. Born in Makassar, South Sulawesi Province, on April 12, 1961, he has a remarkable career in the country`s National Police. During his career, Syafruddin has ever been appointed to be the aide of Vice President Jusuf Kalla during the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono administration in 2004. Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo will likely reshuffle the cabinet soon due to the dynamism of political coalition in the nomination of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2019-2024 term, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno stated. "If there is a question on reshuffle soon, that is possible. Let us wait for the decision, as it is a consequence of dynamism in the political coalition," he stated here Tuesday. The National Mandate Party (PAN) once joined the coalition in support of the incumbent president, commonly known as Jokowi, so that the party included its cadre in the cabinet. President Jokowi entrusted the position of the minister of bureaucratic reforms to PAN cadre, Asman Abnur, but in the nomination of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2019-2024 term, PAN did not join the coalition supporting Jokowi.
