PERU Two drug mule Michaella McCollum is looking to cash in after talks about a TV show based on her book about her criminal life. The 25-year-old mum-of-two has been trying to build a glamorous career since leaving a Peruvian prison three years ago for smuggling 11kg of cocaine worth £1.5million in August 2013. McCollum was supposed to release her book House of Women last year giving her account of her time in the South American slammer, but publication was postponed. Originally from Dungannon in Northern Ireland, the infamous smuggler has now met with a TV production company in London to bring her shocking story to the small screen, the Mail on Sunday reports. If the Narcos-style programme gets the go-ahead, McCollum is set to become "very rich from it", a source claimed. World Russian President Vladimir Putin has been dedicated his own television show on the country's state-run television channel, a move that comes during a controversial pension reform and a lull in the longtime leader's ratings. The first episode of "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin." aired Sunday on the Rossiya-1 television station, showcasing the Russian president's activities in the past week. Scenes showed Putin hard at work in strings of meetings and also kicking back with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu while on vacation in Siberia. The hour-long show included a discussion with Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who was eager to highlight Putin's empathy and affection for the youth as well as the rest of the population. Jerry Springer is no longer producing new episodes of his TV show, but he is not ending his television career. Springer is reportedly developing another syndicated TV show called Judge Jerry in which he will preside over small claims disputes, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Broadcasting & Cable, the New York Post and the Wrap. The series could premiere in fall 2019. Springer is a former lawyer and a Northwestern law grad. He was once the mayor of Cincinnati. Springer was among 13,800 Ohio lawyers suspended in December 2005 for failing to file a certificate of registration and pay related fees. The Ohio Supreme Court’s lawyer directory still lists Springer as suspended. Springer is developing the show with NBCUniversal, which already has taped a pilot episode. ‘Bad Judge’ TV show is canceled after lawyer group protests
NBC has decided to cancel the TV show Bad Judge after it garnered unimpressive ratings and a letter of protest from the Miami-Dade chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.The show, which first aired Oct. 6, depicted a party-loving but tough judge whose car sported a bumper sticker reading, “If you are rich, I am single.” NBC announced cancellation of the series last Friday, Entertainment Weekly and the Daily Business Review report.
