Philip Hammond blames Brexit for Britain’s stalling economy

Philip Hammond today blamed Britain’s stalling economy on Brexit. The Tory Chancellor warned the UK economy was being “overshadowed” by Brexit uncertainty. It comes after official figures revealed slower than expected growth of 0.2% in the last quarter of 2018. It’s down from 0.6% in the previous quarter. Britain’s services sector shrank by 0.2% in December, manufacturing shrank by 0.7% and construction by 0.3%. Union Leader Says Ukraine’s Use of ‘Nazi Imagery’ led to Russian Invasion

The left-wing leader of a rail union in Britain has cited EU influence in Ukraine, as well as the country’s alleged use of “Nazi imagery”, as leading to Russia’s invasion. Mick Lynch, the head of Britain’s leftist RMT rail union, has cited the increasing influence of the European Union in Ukraine, as well as the prevalence of what he called “Nazi imagery”, as causes for Russia’s invasion of the country. Lynch has since been accused of peddling “Kremlin propaganda” by Britain’s Secretary of State for Transport, who is currently trying to impose restrictions on the ability of the trade-union leader’s organisation to strike. Tory Chancellor Philip Hammond today revealed the financial health of the nation in the 2018 Spring Statement. In the first speech of its kind, the Cabinet minister addressed the House of Commons to reveal there was "light at the end of the tunnel" on austerity. But he was accused of "complacency" as his slimmed down mini-Budget gave no new cash for anything and showed GDP will actually be lower than expected in 2022. Meanwhile experts revealed we'll still be paying for Brexit in 2064 and the Treasury paved the way for scrapping 1p and 2p coins.
