A man who claims to be a McDonald's employee has shared his top tip on how to get the freshest nuggets when ordering—a dilemma faced by many customers. Sharing to his TikTok account @nicaraguanjesu, the anonymous worker showed the heat boxes inside the kitchen of a McDonald's, filled with nuggets. The bottom box was pulled out to reveal more than 20 nuggets inside, as he wrote on-screen his one tip: "Don't buy a 4, 6 or 10 piece at McDonald's, always get a 20, it'll be fresher." In just one week, the advice has reached over 400,000 views and 14,000 likes with users agreeing with the idea. "That's true tho," wrote one user who seemingly had an identical experience as a customer. The video can be seen here . Although the employee didn't divulge exactly why a 20 box of chicken nuggets at the fast food chain would be fresher, it appears logical that with less orders of the 20 pieces, McDonald's kitchens are also less likely to have a whole 20 nuggets waiting to be placed … [Read more...] about McDonald’s worker reveals why customers should order 20 nuggets every time

Playoffs highlighting Nuggets’ biggest weakness: “You have to have an elite defense”
Look at the teams still competing for an NBA championship. As of Saturday, the Celtics, Bucks, Warriors, Heat, Suns and Mavs were all still alive. Now look at what they have in common. Five of the six teams finished the regular season with a top-seven defense in the league. Memphis, which got ousted on Friday night, was No. 6 in the NBA. Only the Bucks, whose successful formula earned them a title last season, finished outside of the top-10 defensively this season. At No. 14, Milwaukee was percentage points better than the Nuggets at No. 15. “To be a dangerous, deep playoff team, you have to have an elite defense,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said at his end-of-season news conference. There’s an algorithm to winning playoff games, with few exceptions. If Denver has realistic designs on raising a banner in the next few seasons and capitalizing on the title window MVP Nikola Jokic has opened, there’s a glaring flaw that needs to be addressed. The Nuggets’ average, … [Read more...] about Playoffs highlighting Nuggets’ biggest weakness: “You have to have an elite defense”
Nuggets Journal: If it’s Tim Connelly or Calvin Booth, Denver’s roster still needs fixing
The warts aren’t going anywhere. No matter if current team president Tim Connelly is overseeing the Nuggets or the job is left to presumed successor Calvin Booth should Connelly depart, Denver is on the precipice of championship contention. But they aren’t there yet. The hardest part about the timing of Connelly’s dalliance with Minnesota is that the decisions coming this summer are the ones that might make the difference between maximizing Nikola Jokic’s title window and winning a championship, or not. If it’s Connelly, who’s been at the helm since 2013 and is known for his loyalty, he’d still likely have to make uncomfortable decisions. Those choices might involve Will Barton, the longest-tenured Nugget who’s long been a favorite of Connelly’s, or Monte Morris, one of Connelly’s favorite players in the NBA, let alone Denver. If Connelly is still in charge, upgrading the defense would be a priority and moving one or both of their respective contracts might be mandatory to … [Read more...] about Nuggets Journal: If it’s Tim Connelly or Calvin Booth, Denver’s roster still needs fixing
President Tim Connelly leaving Nuggets for Minnesota’s top job, sources says
Tim Connelly, Denver’s president of basketball operations since 2013, is leaving to take the same position in Minnesota, a source told The Denver Post. The Timberwolves offered him a five-year, $40 million contract, plus equity in the franchise, another source said, who added the deal more than doubles what he was making with the Nuggets. The Nuggets made a counteroffer but there was still a significant gap between the two offers, a source said. Connelly and his wife, Negah, met with Timberwolves ownership over the weekend in Minnesota and then took two days to mull the decision before Monday’s news. In between, there was hope within Denver’s organization that the Kroenkes might find a way to keep Connelly. Minnesota’s interest in Connelly was well-known among the Nuggets’ traveling party when they went to Serbia two weeks ago, and there was even some hope that a new deal could be struck then, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. After that, momentum picked up … [Read more...] about President Tim Connelly leaving Nuggets for Minnesota’s top job, sources says
Nuggets Journal: What will GM Calvin Booth be like? “Not scared of failure,” source says
Heading into the 2016 draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves were armed with the No. 5 pick and were in prime position to land a foundational piece. Calvin Booth, then the Director of Player Personnel for the Timberwolves, had identified a prospect who he deemed had immense potential. Jamal Murray, a combo guard out of Kentucky, caught Booth’s eye. He bought into Murray’s sweet shooting stroke and thought it would translate at the next level. As the draft approached, he paid close attention to the fiery Canadian. Though the Timberwolves scouted Murray heavily, Tom Thibodeau, only months removed from being hired as Minnesota’s coach and president of basketball operations, had a penchant for older, two-way players, and they went with a different guard. That’s how the Wolves settled on Kris Dunn, then a 22-year-old out of Providence. Two picks later, the Nuggets nabbed Murray themselves. Fast forward six years, and the Nuggets’ world has been flipped on its head. Former team … [Read more...] about Nuggets Journal: What will GM Calvin Booth be like? “Not scared of failure,” source says
Man has eaten Big Mac daily for 50 straight years: “Nothing I’d rather eat”
Donald Gorske has eaten a Big Mac nearly every day for 50 years straight—and he has no plans to stop. The McDonald's regular has been in the media spotlight for years, extending his own record as the years have passed. It culminated in an official celebration that took place Tuesday in his home state of Wisconsin. He has only missed eight days of Big Mac consumption in five decades, often eating two of the fast-food juggernaut's classic burgers during each visit. "I've only missed eight days in 50 years, which is phenomenal," Gorske told KFVS-12 from his hometown restaurant in Fond du Lac. "And like I say, I count every Big Mac. I've counted every Big Mac I've eaten my whole life." The Big Mac is composed of two beef patties sandwiched between a sesame seed bun. They are accompanied by pickles, shredded lettuce, finely chopped onion, American cheese and the chain's special sauce. The website Real Menu Prices lists Big Mac sandwich prices as $3.99 each, which means two … [Read more...] about Man has eaten Big Mac daily for 50 straight years: “Nothing I’d rather eat”

Deutsch: Democrats Should Make ‘Vulgar’ Tucker Carlson, ‘Racist and Evil’ MAGA Face of GOP
MSNBC contributor Donny Deutsch said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that Democrats need to make “MAGA maniacs” and Fox News Tucker Carlson the face of the Republican Party for the midterms. Deutsch said, “We’re not going to win the next — between now and the midterms or between now and 2024 solve the social media problem. I want to go back to your question. Do we call people out? You do call out Tucker Carlson. He is heinous. He is vulgar. Make him the face of the Republican Party, the same way I said make replacement theory the brand image, the model of the party. Yes, he has 3 million viewers, but to the mainstream Republicans, to the independents, he’s vulgar. He is atrocious. Use him. Give him more of a platform. Say it is the party of Tucker Carlson. It is not the party of Pat Toomey, Okay? It is not the party of Mitch McConnell. It is the party of Tucker Carlson. That’s who you are voting for. Use Marjorie Taylor Greene. Use Cawthorn. Use these people. You have a nugget of … [Read more...] about Deutsch: Democrats Should Make ‘Vulgar’ Tucker Carlson, ‘Racist and Evil’ MAGA Face of GOP
