Ted Cruz Mocked For His Fawning Time Magazine Tribute To Donald Trump

· April 20, 2018 ·

POLITICS 04/20/2018 04:17 am ET "One of the most humiliating things ever written." By Lee Moran There used to be no love lost between President Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). In the past, Trump has bestowed Cruz with the insulting “Lyin’ Ted” nickname, denigrated Cruz’s wife and insinuated his father helped to assassinate former President John F. Kennedy. Cruz penned the glowing tribute to Trump, praising him for “doing what he was elected to do: disrupt the status quo.” The hypocrisy did not go unnoticed: Ted Cruz’s blurb about Trump for Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People is one of the most … [Read more...] about Ted Cruz Mocked For His Fawning Time Magazine Tribute To Donald Trump

· February 12, 2019 ·

Just two days before the year anniversary of the massacre at a Parkland, Florida high school, two Democrats are introducing a high-capacity gun magazine ban, CNN is reporting. The legislation, dubbed the “Keep Americans Safe Act.,” is being pushed by Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Fla., and Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., It would ban any magazine that exceeds 10 rounds of ammunition, according to CNN. The news network noted the bill has no Republican co-sponsors. You don't need that for sporting purposes.” Deutch’s district includes Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where 17 people were gunned down and another 17 wounded on Feb. 14, 2018. Founder, Board of Vatican Women’s Magazine Quit

· March 26, 2019 ·

The founder and all-female editorial board of the Vatican's women's magazine have quit after what they say was a Vatican campaign to discredit them and put them "under the direct control of men," that only increased after they denounced the sexual abuse of nuns by clergy. The editorial committee of "Women Church World," a monthly glossy published alongside the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, made the announcement in the planned April 1 editorial and in an open letter to Pope Francis that was provided Tuesday to The Associated Press. "We are throwing in the towel because we feel surrounded by a climate of distrust and progressive de-legitimization," founder Lucetta Scaraffia wrote in the open letter. In the editorial, she wrote: "We believe there are no longer the conditions to continue our collaboration with L'Osservatore Romano." House Democrats are calling for the release of the full report from special counsel Robert Mueller, after a four-page summary from Trump appointee … [Read more...] about Founder, Board of Vatican Women’s Magazine Quit
