Who is Emma Gonzalez? Florida school shooting victim who gave a powerful speech at the March For Our Lives
FLORIDA school shooting survivor shamed America's gun lobby with a powerful silent speech at the March For Our Lives protest. She also hit out at Donald Trump after 17 of her classmates and teachers were murdered on St Valentine's Day. Here's her story. Who is Emma Gonzalez? Emma, 18, is a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high School in Parkland, Florida. She was born in the US, the daughter of a lawyer who fled Fidel Castro's Cuba in 1968. Emma describes herself as "Cuban and bisexual" in an essay for Harpers Bazaar magazine in February. She wrote: "I'm so indecisive that I can't pick a favourite colour, and I'm allergic to 12 things. Samantha Eastwood, 28, was last seen by colleagues on Friday at around 7.45am after clocking off from the Royal Stoke University Hospital. She did not return for her next shift and a nationwide hunt was launched after worried family members contacted the police. A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of kidnap and has been bailed. Forensic officers were searching her home in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday and a neighbour described hearing a scream from her home at 2pm on Friday. And it has now emerged that the midwife was trying to sell her unused wedding dress for £400 before she disappeared. She wrote on Marketplace: "Bought in sample sale. Not worn apart from being tried on in the shop. "Size 14. In very good condition apart from a few loose threads and broken zip head (zip still works). "Will consider offers. Ideally for collection." Her mum Carole Eastwood, … [Read more...] about Nurse Samantha Eastwood, 28, who went missing put her unused wedding dress up for sale just three weeks earlier
