The jobs created and long-term income benefits to the community aren't comparable. A stadium project produces thousands of well-paying construction jobs that all but disappear once the structure is complete. NFL teams obviously pay very high salaries but by definition, don't have a lot of employees. NFL.com puts the 2018 salary cap at $177.2 million.
