‘Vicious’ fight breaks out among passengers at airport with man rushed to hospital
A man was arrested and charged and another is in hospital after a "vicious" fight broke out at an airport. Airport police stepped in after the punch-up started at Dublin Airport . The fight continued in front of shocked travellers with two men embroiled in a dispute an and another joining in before paramedics treated those injured. An eye witness said one man was "pumping blood" on the ground. The Irish Mirror reports one man was taken to Beaumont Hospital while another, in his 20s, was arrested. Runner dies and 15 taken to hospital after half marathon in 83% humidity
A runner died from a heart attack as 22,000 took part in the Brooklyn Half-Marathon in sweltering conditions . A further 15 people needed hospital treatment as the humidity reached 83% - unseasonably warm for this time of year. The New York Post reports that the man collapsed and died yesterday morning shortly after finishing the gruelling 13 mile race. He has not yet been identified. It's thought the man possibly suffered a cardiac arrest at roughly 9am and was taken to Coney Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Pizza Express has announced that KFC boss Paula MacKenzie will take over the reins at the restaurant chain next month. Ms MacKenzie will join the business as chief executive on June 6, taking the role after David Campbell stepped down last October. A man with autism is taking Sainsbury ’s to court after the supermarket refused to allow his support cat into one of its shops. Ian Fenn trained his black cat Chloe to help him with his daily life. He said Sainsbury’s decision not to allow the feline into its store had limited his independence.
