An English woman looked "nine months pregnant" due to an ovarian cyst she mistook for a baby as it grew to the size of a football inside of her stomach. Hollie Welham, 21, believed she was expecting after she started feeling nauseated and noticed her stomach growing in January. But when all the tests came back negative, Welham was referred for an ultrasound as her symptoms continued to worsen, including severe cramps, bleeding, and back pain. Doctors discovered she wasn't carrying a baby, but a large cyst was growing on her right ovary, and while waiting for surgery to get it removed, Welham watched has her stomach "grew and grew" each day. A transgender man is going to Turkey to have both his breasts removed as the surgery cost less than half the price in the UK. Josh Dayus, 19, says he has not received any treatment via the NHS and has been on an NHS waiting list to go to a gender identity clinic since 2018. He says he was diagnosed with gender dysphoria privately. Last year, he started paying for testosterone which costs £60 a month. Josh has now decided to fly to Turkey for a double mastectomy as the surgery as it costs just £3,000, compared to up to £10,000 in the UK, BristolLive reports. The NHS said it is seeing a rise in demand for gender services and has increased investment, including setting up five gender identity pilot clinics across the country.
