Trump’s tweet comes in the midst of a partial government shutdown, which was spurred Dec. 22 by Trump’s demand for $5 billion in funding for a U.S.-Mexico border wall. He alleged that the “wall” around the Obamas’ mansion was necessary for the former first couple’s “safety and security,” adding that the United States needs a “slightly larger version!” Trump’s assertion came as a surprise to two of the Obamas’ neighbors Monday, who told The Post that there is no such wall. The 8,200-square-foot structure, despite several security features, is completely … [Read more...] about About Trump’s claim that the Obamas have a 10-foot wall…

Thorpe St Andrew Parish Church wall has collapsedIn March this year, a large retaining wall within the churchyard of Thorpe St Andrew Parish Church collapsed overnight.Despite the churchyard off Yarmouth Road being owned by the Diocese of Norwich, the parochial church council (PCC) has used legislation to pass the repair costs to Thorpe St Andrew Town Council. That means taxpayers - rather than the church - could have to pay for the wall to be fixed. At a town council meeting on Monday, members asked Thorpe St Andrew rector Rev James Stewart why the PCC served the Section 215 notice before finding out if the collapse was covered by insurance.Thorpe St Andrew Parish Church wall has collapsedCouncillor Trudy Mancini-Boyle said: “I feel like serving notice has just been … [Read more...] about Church council accused of taking ‘easy option’ over wall repair bill
POLITICS 09/20/2018 07:40 am ET He reportedly suggested Spain build a barrier across the Sahara desert to curb migration into Europe. By Lee Moran President Donald Trump has been taken to task on Twitter for reportedly suggesting that Spain should build a wall across the Sahara desert in Africa to curb migration into Europe. Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell said at a lunch this week that Trump proposed the wall idea during a meeting earlier this year, according to The Guardian and multiple Spanish news outlets. Spain also has no border with the Sahara, meaning it would have to build the barrier on foreign land. Trump’s idea lit up Twitter, where many people pointed out its flaws: Donald #Trump has used his vast brain (a very big … [Read more...] about Donald Trump’s Idea For Sahara Desert Border Wall Gets Demolished
