President Donald Trump praised first lady Melania Trump as his “rock” and “foundation” ahead of her 48th birthday on April 26. “Family is one of life’s most wonderful treasures, and serving as America’s First Family has been a truly great privilege!” the president said in an email the Make America Great Again Committee sent out on Tuesday, which also sought donations to the committee.“This month, our family is looking forward to a very special day,” Trump wrote. “Please join us in celebrating the first lady and my beautiful, kind-hearted and exceptional wife Melania’s birthday by signing her card.” “Melania is my rock and foundation, and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without her by my side,” Trump wrote.“She’s the cornerstone of our family, and an incredible mother to our son, Barron. Donald Trump was elected to lead, not to proofread. The 45th President, who has essentially admitted he doesn’t read books, has overseen an American crisis in proper spelling and grammar since entering the White House. But no other administration has ever shown such disregard for the English language — and done it so publicly, and so frequently. It is, as Trump would say, unpresidented. Here is the ever-updating list of public typos and spelling errors, verbatim, from the Trump White House: — “No dream is too big, no challenge is to great. Nothing we want for the future is beyond our reach.” (Poster for Trump’s inauguration) — “I am honered to serve you, the great American People, as your 45th President of the United States!” (deleted Trump tweet, January 21) — … [Read more...] about The running list of typos from President Trump’s White House

Just hours after President Donald Trump had his first phone call with Spanish prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, Spain released its official* message to the 45th President of the United States of America Well, actually it released two rival “Make Spain Second” videos, jumping on the bandwagon of joke missives from around the world, which began in The Netherlands in response to Trump's America First inauguration message. What was most important to get across when dealing with the new administration, according to both Spanish versions, was the need to make it clear that on no account were the Spanish to be confused with Mexicans. One video clip, which was made by the satirical show Intermedio, had shared Spain' secret weapon that was even more effective than Trump's "anti-Muslim" travel ban. "Here in Spain we eat so much pork that no Muslim wants to come in". The rival video compared Trump to dictator Francisco Franco and encouraged Trump to visit the “German island … [Read more...] about WATCH: Spain’s message to President Trump
