Prince Harry used secret codename on birthday card for woman who took his virginity
A woman who says she took Prince Harry 's virginity in a field behind a busy pub has shared a birthday card the Duke of Sussex gave her, using a codename. Sasha Walpole spoke out this weekend, saying she is the "older woman" Harry mentioned in his memoir Spare, which was published last month. The former stable worker at King Charles' Highgrove said the pair, who were pals at the time, had "passionate and sparky" sex which she described as a "wham-bam between two friends". In his book, Harry spoke candidly about losing his virginity at the age of 17, claiming his lover "liked macho horses" and treated him "like a young stallion". Skull Found in Alaska Is Linked to New York Man Missing Since 1976
In 1976, Gary Frank Sotherden’s appetite for adventure and the outdoors led him to the Arctic Circle, where he and a friend planned to walk on opposite sides of the Porcupine River in northeastern Alaska, reuniting when the cold set in and the river froze, his brother said. The friend made it out, but Mr. Sotherden was never heard from again. Planes flew above the remote, winding river in search of Mr. Sotherden, who was from Clay, N.Y., which is about a dozen miles northwest of Syracuse. The police and mountain guides also searched on land, but their efforts were unsuccessful. What happened to Mr. Sotherden was a mystery that endured for nearly 50 years — until Thursday. Relying on genetic testing and genealogy research, state troopers in Alaska confirmed that a skull found by the Porcupine River in 1997 was that of Mr. Sotherden. Troopers said in a news release that the suspected cause of death was a bear mauling, but they did not elaborate. Troopers contacted Mr. … [Read more...] about Skull Found in Alaska Is Linked to New York Man Missing Since 1976
Mexican Actor Pablo Lyle Gets 5 Years in Prison for Fatal Miami Road Rage Assault
MIAMI (AP) — Mexican actor Pablo Lyle was sentenced Friday to five years in prison for involuntary manslaughter after fatally punching a man during a road rage confrontation in Miami in 2019. The sentence came almost four years after Lyle was charged with murder in the death of a man he struck during a traffic incident. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez announced the sentence two months after rejecting the actor’s request for a new trial and upholding the guilty verdict reached by a jury in October. The 36-year-old Mexican telenovela star, who appeared in the Netflix crime series “Yankee,” had faced a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison. The judge also ordered eight years of probation, conflict resolution management and 500 hours of community service for the actor. The actor has 30 days to appeal the sentence. Dressed in a red jail uniform, Lyle looked calm and expressed repentance during the more than three-hour hearing. He has been detained since his … [Read more...] about Mexican Actor Pablo Lyle Gets 5 Years in Prison for Fatal Miami Road Rage Assault

Who Is Leonard Taylor? Missouri to execute man over 2004 murders
A Missouri man is facing execution on Tuesday for the 2004 killings of his girlfriend and her three children. Leonard Taylor, 58, is scheduled to die by lethal injection on February 7. Police officers found the bodies of Angela Rowe, her 10-year-old daughter Alexus Conley, 6-year-old daughter AcQreya Conley, and 5-year-old son Tyrese Conley. All four were found shot inside their home in Jennings, Missouri, on December 3, 2004, after Rowe's relatives asked police to go to her home as they had not heard from her for several days. Taylor, Rowe's live-in boyfriend, who had a criminal record for drug and fraud-related offenses, was arrested in Kentucky a few days later. He was convicted in 2008, but maintains he was thousands of miles away at the time of the killings. In January, Taylor's attorney Kent Gipson sought a hearing on his client's innocence claim under a provision in Missouri law that allows a prosecutor to file a motion asking for a hearing before a judge if there is … [Read more...] about Who Is Leonard Taylor? Her magnificence on the court has earned her 23 Grand Slam championships – giving her the title of the most Grand Slam tournaments won in the Open era of women’s tennis. Nasa ’s Geotail mission, a collaboration with the Japanese Space Agency, Jaxa , launched in 1994 with a suite of instruments designed to study the tail of Earth’s magnetosphere -- the area of space around our planet that is influenced by Earth’s geomagnetic field. Nasa and Jaxa officials are currently deciding what to do with the spacecraft after the last of its two data recorders failed, according to a Nasa blog . The spacecraft was equipped with two data recorders, the first of which failed in 2012 after 20 years of gathering data. He had one of the most unusual jobs in Yosemite. After 44 years, he’s retiring.
John Reynolds might have just left the most interesting job you’ve never heard of. The now-former Yosemite National Park postmaster battled record-setting floods, devastating wildfires and sometimes deadly rockslides to deliver the mail across a park that’s roughly the size of Delaware. Sure, national parks have their share of interesting and unique occupations, but none of those professionals can claim a national park is where they were born and raised, worked and retired. Reynolds can. "We were all smiles," he told SFGATE of his Jan. 31 retirement. "It’s surreal. You only retire once." The 63-year-old was born at Yosemite Medical Clinic in Yosemite Valley, back when the facility was still delivering babies in 1959. Nowadays, anyone living in or near Yosemite must "drive like hell" to Fresno when a baby is on the way, as Reynolds fondly recalled of when all three of his children were born. With credit to his mom’s job of 43 years at — you guessed it — Yosemite’s post … [Read more...] about He had one of the most unusual jobs in Yosemite. After 44 years, he’s retiring.
