Last week, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission published its highly anticipated supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking regarding Regulation Automated Trading, initially released in November 2015. It contains new proposals regarding Floor Trader registration and who might be deemed a so-called “AT Person” in an effort to reduce the number of persons that might be subject to the harshest of the proposal’s requirements. However, the revised proposal also substantially broadens the concept of direct electronic access; indirectly subjects third-party algorithmic trading system providers to CFTC requirements; and still enables the CFTC to request an AT Person’s algorithmic trading source code through its inspection authority – albeit using special calls expressly authorized by the Commission – in addition to by subpoena. Poll: 40 Percent of NH Republicans Want Trump to Face Primary
A strong majority of New Hampshire voters - including 40 percent of Republicans surveyed - say it would be a good thing if President Donald Trump faced a primary in 2020, according to the latest New Hampshire Journal poll. Further, nearly 60 percent of unaffiliated voters say Trump getting challenged by his own party in 2020 would be a good thing, according to the survey. The results, according to the NH Journal: 56 percent overall say a GOP challenge to Trump would be a good thing. 27 percent overall say it would be a bad thing. 47 percent of Republicans say it would be a bad thing. 40 percent of Republicans say it would be good thing. 57 percent of unaffiliated voters say it would be a good thing. On March 26, the General Counsel (“GC”) of the NLRB signaled that he will be asking the Board to overturn or modify many precedents that negatively impact unions when it comes to organizing and collective bargaining. In Memorandum GC 16-01 (“GC Memo”), the GC directed the Regional Directors in the Board’s offices across the country, who are charged with investigating unfair labor practice (“ULP”) charges and deciding which cases to take to trial, to forward all charges involving issues identified in the GC Memo to the GC’s Division of Advice (“Advice”). It is clear that Advice will instruct the Regional Directors to issue complaints and to follow legal theories advanced by Advice as part of this coordinated effort.
