As A Law Clerk To A Kashmiri Prince: My Experience Of Working With Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul

· October 29, 2017 ·

I am quite aware that the writing of memoirs and recollections is a tradition reserved only for the choices of gentlemen who, through their seminal contributions have left an indelible mark in the pages of history, unforgettable and cherished for the ages to come. These rare breed of men, I have been told appear on the horizon once or twice in a half century and leave behind them a trail of remarkable achievements and unique feats which are remembered long after they take leave. Legends are scripted of their varied exploits, people speak of the interactions they have had with them and of other cherished memories, and the younger members of society are made to look up to them as heroes and role models, personalities befitting of being emulated and followed. If this account has to be one of truthfulness and reality, sans any wishful story writing, I must admit at this juncture that I was not one who believed in these delightful wonderland legends. Maybe because I happened to be only 23 … [Read more...] about As A Law Clerk To A Kashmiri Prince: My Experience Of Working With Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul

Relevance of the Case of Amar Muralidhar vs. National Anti Doping Agency (“NADA”) in Sports Law

· September 8, 2015 ·

Once a law student graduates and opts for Litigation, he or she is encountered with so many areas of practice that it becomes very difficult for them to wait and introspect as to which area should they chose. Therefore, in my opinion, with my limited experience of only one year and incessant discussion with my seniors practicing in court, one must not shrink their platform to any specific area of law at this early stage. The fresh law graduates who opt for Litigation should be willing to get exposed to different areas of law as their minds are inquisitive which in turn triggers their hunger, devotion, exaltation and fanaticism for knowledge and learning.Coming back to the theme of the article, this article relates to Law of Anti Doping in Sports. Frankly speaking, I never had the interest or opportunity to research and learn about any aspect of Sports Law during my college days. Whenever Sports Law crossed my mind, I used to think that there is limited scope under this subject. To my … [Read more...] about Relevance of the Case of Amar Muralidhar vs. National Anti Doping Agency (“NADA”) in Sports Law

The White House on Tuesday refused to address President Trump’s apparent admiration for Roseanne Barr in the wake of her canceled ABC series and racist tweet spree. While traveling to Nashville, Tenn., where Trump is slated to host a campaign-style rally, Sarah Huckabee Sanders repeatedly changed the subject to North Korea when questioned about the canceled series and Trump’s past support for the actress.“That’s not what the president is looking at. That's not what he’s spending his time on,” she told reporters aboard Air Force One. “I think we have a lot bigger things going on in the country right now.”Instead, she said, Trump is more focused on a possible summit with North Korea and trade. It remains unclear if Trump will comment on Barr during his Nashville stop.
