· June 12, 2018 ·

Rap superstar Kanye West earned his eighth consecutive number one album on the Billboard 200 chart with his latest best-selling effort “Ye,” after he openly embraced President Donald Trump. According to Billboard, West “ties Eminem for the second-most No. 1 albums among hip-hop acts in the history of the chart.”“Only JAY-Z is ahead of them, as he owns 14 chart-toppers,” Billboard explained, adding that, “Among all acts, The Beatles have the most No. 1s, with 19.” The fashion mogul took to Twitter on Monday to celebrate his latest history-making musical achievement with his fans and followers. Condoleezza Rice Defends Kanye West

· May 2, 2018 ·

Condoleezza Rice, a former secretary of state, defended rap star Kanye West over his praise for President Donald Trump. "People should be able to express their views. Not all of us have to think politically the same way…I think we need to recognize that in some ways, the height of prejudice is to look at somebody and think you know what they think because of the color of their skin," Rice, who was secretary of state during George W. Bush’s administration, said on Fox Business’ "Mornings With Maria." "I hope we get to the point that people get to express their views and you can agree with them or disagree," Rice said in the interview. West stirred controversy late in April by offering support for Trump in a number of tweets. On Tuesday, West said "class war" is one of the reasons Trump won the presidential election. … [Read more...] about Condoleezza Rice Defends Kanye West

Kanye West Is Building Up A Republican Fan Base

· May 2, 2018 ·

POLITICS 05/02/2018 06:07 pm ET Updated 1 hour ago Most in the GOP still say celebrities shouldn't weigh in on politics, a new poll finds. By Ariel Edwards-Levy Kanye West’s latest foray into Twitter commentary may have boosted the rapper’s standing with the GOP, according to a new HuffPost/YouGov poll ― which also finds Americans split on whether celebrities should offer up their political views. West is still more likely to be seen negatively than positively by members of both parties. But while Democrats are 55 percentage points more likely to view him unfavorably than they are to view him favorably, the gap among Republicans is just 9 points. That’s a new development. In a 2015 poll (yes, of course, there’s historical Kanye polling), his net negative among Democrats was 47 points, but among Republicans, it was a gaping 63 points.  Just under half of all those polled in the most recent survey were aware that West had tweeted … [Read more...] about Kanye West Is Building Up A Republican Fan Base

But before Senator Joe Manchin III, a Democrat running for re-election in the deep-red state, celebrates a candidacy that could split the Republican vote, Mr. Blankenship must overcome West Virginia’s “sore loser” law, designed to keep losing primary candidates off the ballot in November. Mr. Blankenship, who lost a brutal proxy fight with party leaders in the Republican primary, was already anticipating a court fight with “the establishment” over the matter. “We are confident that … [Read more...] about Don Blankenship Announces Third Party Bid for West Virginia Senate Seat
