BANK of England governor Mark Carney has warned a "no deal" Brexit outcome could mean house prices in the UK tumble. Mark Carney, 53, met with senior ministers on September 13 to discuss the possible outcomes of the UK leaving the European Union without an agreement with Brussels. It was widely reported he painted a bleak outcome in the three-and-a-half-hour meeting. He allegedly said house prices could plummet by as much as 35 per cent over three years, mortgage rates could spiral upwards, the pound could fall along with inflation and many homeowners were at risk of being in negative equity. COMMUTERS were plunged into travel chaos when a new high tech train broke down leaving 350 passengers stranded for five hours. Frustrated travellers had to be evacuated from the GWR Intercity Express service to London Paddington after it broke down near Exeter. The train, which departed Plymouth at 4pm yesterday, caused havoc on the lines with other services delayed as a result, Plymouth Live reports. It was 10.30pm before travellers were finally rescued, with many forced to depart the carriage by ladder. Passengers were then forced to walk down the track in pitch black as they left the abandoned train. It is believed the train broke down because there was a brakes failure. Passenger Stuart Smith missed a flight from London Gatwick to Austria as a result of the break down. David Keyes, Netanyahu’s spokesman with the foreign press, issued a statement saying that “in order not to distract from the important work of the prime minister, I have asked to take time off to clear my name.
