Here’s why we think the all new Samsung Galaxy A51 is truly ‘Awesome’

February 17, 2020 by www.gadgetsnow.com

Let’s begin with the verdict – If you’re looking for a smartphone with a big screen, long-lasting battery and great camera features, but don’t want to spend a lot, the Samsung Galaxy A51 might be THE phone for you. With a completely new design, a massive upgrade in the camera department and a gorgeous Infinity-O display the new Galaxy A51 is a champion waiting to leave a mark among consumers. The new handset continues to carry the tradition of introducing innovative features in the budget lineup. Let’s get right into the merits of the Samsung Galaxy A51 and everything that makes it Awesome.

Awesome Camera
Samsung has come up with an interesting mix for the camera on this smartphone. It has a four-camera set up that combines a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view, a 5MP depth camera that has been retained from its predecessor, and a 5MP macro camera, becoming Samsung’s first smartphone to feature it.

The main 48MP camera uses pixel binning technology that works to produce more accurately exposed and detailed images by combining 4 pixels into 1 superpixel. This superpixel contains four times the amount of data compared to a single pixel in a 48MP image. As a result, the images are nice and sharp with great color reproduction.

Then comes the 12MP camera, which has a higher megapixel count compared to the ultra-wide cameras on recent mid-range smartphones. This increase in resolution enables the camera to capture more detail, making the images sharper. The Galaxy A51 with the Ultra-Wide Night Mode lets you shoot great Ultra-Wide shot even in really low light conditions.

However, it’s the 5MP macro camera that one should be most curious about. It allows you to take incredibly detailed close-up photos of small subjects. The macro camera of the Samsung Galaxy A51 is capable of taking some awesome close-up shots. It is recommended that you hold the camera 4cm away from the subject. Try experimenting by capturing a flaky, buttery texture of a patty in indoor or close-up photos of flowers if you’re a nature buff.

You can also record 4K UHD videos using both the front and rear cameras. If you’re a fan of the AR Doodle feature in Samsung’s flagship models, you can now enjoy this feature in the Samsung Galaxy A51 as well. You can doodle anywhere in the frame; the camera will remember that position in space and show the doodle wherever it’s panned to that position. This is a neat little addition to Samsung’s mid-range lineup. You can also use other camera modes including Super Steady video mode, Super Slow-Mo, Hyperlapse In fact, the camera is smart enough to recommend the Best Shot suggestion & comes with a Scene Optimizer (up to 30 scenes now).

Awesome display
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED Full HD+ display, with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The bezels are slimmer allowing for more screen real estate. The Infinity-O display screen is innovation at its finest. So far seen on flagship devices, this feature finally makes its way to the Mid-tier smartphone segment with Galaxy A51. In fact, the Galaxy A51 happens to be the 1st A-Series device to carry the Infinity-O display.

Samsung lovers have always appreciated the brand’s s-AMOLED displays, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a competing device that can claim to have a better display than the Samsung Galaxy A51’s. The nice and bright display, excellent viewing angles, deep blacks and rich colors – all lend a viewing experience that is nothing short of awesome.

A lot of people wanted to see a smaller chin below the display and Samsung has done just that with this phone. There’s an in-display optical fingerprint sensor present which works smoothly, regardless of the way you use it – placing your finger at an angle, placing it dead centre, or just lightly tapping it.

Awesome design

Galaxy A51 dons a slim top bezel, thanks to the centred punch hole for the front camera. As for the body, the curves at the back allow for a comfortable grip during prolonged use. The smartphone has been designed in such a fashion that despite having a slim profile (7.9 mm thickness) it has managed to rock a 4,000mAh battery. The back is dominated by the new L-shaped camera setup and elegant looking prism-like criss-cross pattern. Full marks to Samsung for going with a more subtle option than a gradient finish! Positioned at the bottom are a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker. The back of the device has this Prism Crush design with a rhythmic pattern that makes the device look absolutely stunning. The Galaxy A51 comes in 3 mesmerizing colors- Prism Crush Blue, White, and Black. Here’s how exemplary the prism crush blue variant looks:

Awesome Performance

Powering the device is the rock-solid Exynos 9611 10nm chipset which is paired with 6GB of RAM and a massive 128GB of onboard storage. With such a combination you are bound to get an optimized performance along with high storage. Well, it would be a bummer if all this awesomeness was short-lived. But it’s not. With a long-lasting battery and 15W fast charging, the Galaxy A51 is one reliable smartphone. How long, you ask? You can enjoy up to 20 hours of video playback on a full charge! Yes, that is pretty awesome.

The gadget runs on Android v10 (Q) operating system and is powered by an intelligent processor. For uninterrupted gaming sessions and enhanced performance, the Galaxy A51 comes with Game Booster. This amazing feature paired with the advanced Octa-core Exynos 9611 and 6GB RAM delivers a smooth and lag-free gaming experience by improving stability, giving a better frame rate and reducing power consumption.

As the lines between work and personal data blur, keeping your data secure becomes a challenge. Samsung has spent years perfecting its Knox security platform to provide you with the privacy you can trust. The Samsung Galaxy A51, just like other Samsung phones, is secured with defence-grade Samsung Knox from the moment you first turn it on. Awesome security isn’t it?!

You also get access to the coolest way to make payments when shopping – Samsung Pay. This advanced NFC based payment solution lets you add all your cards to the Samsung Pay app, and then you can simply pay at a store or restaurant by tapping your phone on the card reader. No longer will you have to take out your wallet, and then hunt for the card you wish to use.

Bottom line: So you already know why we think the all-new Samsung Galaxy A51 is awesome – it is well built, it can withstand heavy use for a couple of years, it takes gorgeous pictures, has a brilliant display and looks extremely dapper while doing all of it
