A Harris County sheriff’s deputy suffered minor neck and back injuries early Sunday in Sheldon after a driver suspected of intoxication plowed into a car behind him, officials said. The patrol car and a sedan had stopped at a red light around 3 a.m. on the 14100 block of Crosby Freeway, said Lt. Robert Schields of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. A white truck plowed into the sedan, pushing it into the patrol car. Authorities said the drivers of the patrol car and sedan were treated at the scene. The driver of the truck is cooperating with investigators, Schields said. [email protected] Twitter: @gwendolynawu
