Photo: University Of Houston University of Houston’s Amere Lattin advances to quarterfinals 1 / 1 Back to Gallery University of Houston All-American Amere Lattin posted the second-fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles Thursday night to advance to the quarterfinals at the NCAA West Regional in Sacramento, Calif. Lattin, the top seed in the event, won his heat easily with a time of 50.09 seconds. Houston teammate Quivell Jordan also advanced with a time of 51.11. Texas A&M’s Infinite Tucker was the top qualifier at 50.03. The Aggies advances four other runners in the event: DeWitt Thomas, Ilolo Izu, Robert Grant and Tyler Hart.
