ALLAHABAD: Continuing with their protest against the vice-chancellor, Prof R L Hangloo , over the alleged WhatsApp chat and audio clip between the VC and a Delhi based woman, student leaders organised a ‘Shradhanjali sabha’ (homage meet) at VC’s office on Friday evening. For staging their protest, the student leaders assembled at the portico of the VC’s office on Friday late evening. Carrying placards in their hand, the protestors sat for dharna at the stairs of the VC office even as the campus was closed after the day long working. Holding candles in their hands, the student leaders observed a silent protest marking their protest against the VC. “We have made this very clear that the VC will not be allowed to work on the campus unless an impartial probe is ordered from HRD ministry and the same submits its report”, said Rohit Mishra, former president of AU student union. Earlier on the day, the student leaders arrived at the VC office to stage their protest. But before several of the student leaders could assemble, the VC had already left the campus. Finding VC absent from the office, they returned without staging their dharna.
